This morning, we take the famous 4WD ridge-top tour, including morning tea, where we see many geological features and stunning scenery from the top of Sillirs lookout with plenty of photo opportunities before returning to the Village for lunch (supplied). This afternoon there is time to put your feet up in the tranquil surroundings or perhaps take one of the short walks on offer. Dinner at the Village. As an Option you may wish to join in on an evening at the Arkaroola planetarium to go stargazing in this unpolluted, dark outback sky. (own cost) (B L D)
This morning, we make our way to Brachina Gorge. Brachina Gorge meanders its way through sharp sawtooth ridges of resistant quartzite. This spectacular gorge was once used as a pass-through where bullock teams pulled their loads. It is now a favourite picnic and camping area called “Brachina”. We take a break at Parrachilna before we continue our journey to Blinman. We follow the Parachilna Gorge as it snakes through the Heysen and ABC ranges seeing spectacular summits and rock formations. We take a break at Blinman (lunch supplied). After lunch we make our way past the Great Wall of China, Stokes & Hucks Lookouts and into Wilpena. The rest of the afternoon is free. Another option is to take a flight around the “Pound” (approximately $23p.p. for 30 minutes ~ own cost ~ longer flights may be available at extra cost. (B L D)
We depart Wilpena Pound mid-morning en route to Adelaide. Pass through Orroroo, Peterborough and Burra for lunch (own cost) before arriving at our depot approximately 5.30pm. Where you cars will be waiting to take you home. (B)
