Karkoo Nursery and Hahndorf: A High Tea and Shopping Experience
Join us for a delightful and enjoyable tour of the Karkoo Nursery and the Hahndorf Village, where you can enjoy a delicious high tea and a shopping spree. You will also have time to explore the historic and scenic sites of the region.
The tour includes:

- We make our way to Karkoo Nursery at Oakbank, On arrival we will have our high tea before a chance to wander the nursery. Karkoo was established by Jane and Peter Rowat over 20 years ago as a wholesale garden centre in Mount George, which is still in operation today Karkoo Blackwood was then opened and quickly became an iconic indoor plant, home/gift store and nursery. However, as our Blackwood site is owned by the Mitcham Council, we do not have a long term future but fortunately the Rowat’s secured the future of Karkoo with the purchase of the Historic Johnston Brewery site in Oakbank, opening in 2021.
- We then make our way to Hahndorf for a wander then onto Bernberg for a shop stop.
The tour Includes:
DEPARTING 122 MULLER ROAD, HAMPSTEAD GARDENS 7.45am
Carparking will be at the Greenacres shopping centre
or NORTH TCE (in front of Intercontinental Hotel) 9.30am
RETURNING 4 pm APPROX.
