Day 1 : Adelaide - Port Augusta
Your chauffered car will pick you up from home and drop you at Our Aust-wide tours Depot 101 Muller Rd Hampstead Gardens, departing at 9am.  We travel north on Highway 1 to Port Wakefield, stopping for morning tea (supplied by Aust-wide Tours).  Moving on through Lochiel, Snowtown and Redhill to Port Augusta for lunch (own cost). After lunch we visit the Wadlata Outback Centre where we can experience a trip back in time to trace the history of the Outback to the modern day. We then visit the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden. You can explore the Garden on one of four specially marked walking tracks. Take a short stroll along the highlights walk or venture on to the Red Cliff Walk to enjoy spectacular views of Spencer Gulf and the Flinders Ranges from stunning red cliff tops. We make our way to the motel, (D)
Day 2 : Port Augusta - Quorn - Leigh Creek
Packing the coach, we make our way to Port Augusta Railway Station and join the Afghan Explorer to Quorn. Travelling the old Ghan route over red earth and bluebush plains from Port Augusta, you'll watch the ranges creep ever closer before entering the Pichi Richi Pass with its rocky outcrops, dry riverbeds hilly scenery. On Arrival in Quorn you will have time for lunch (own cost) with several cafés and hotels to choose from. After Lunch we make our way through Hawker to Leigh Creek (B D)
Day 3 : Leigh Creek - Farina - Leigh Creek

After breakfast we make our way through Lyndhurst and stop at the ochre pits to the historic old town of Farina. On arrival we will have time for a cuppa. One of the volunteers will be joining us to give us a guided tour of the town pointing some of the old historical sights and filling us in on a bit of history. Lunchtime is upon us; we will have time for lunch in the bakery then some free time to wander. Traveling back towards Leigh Creek we take time to have a look at the Aroona Dam. Aroona Dam was once the key water source for the former coal mining town. The dam is no longer used as a water supply, with an alternative source in place, but it remains an important recreation space and Sanctuary with spectacular views and peaceful surrounding. Arriving at Leigh creek with time to freshen up before dinner. (B L D)

Day 4 : Leigh Creek - Adelaide
We pack the coach and make our way back to Adelaide via Orroroo, Jamestown and Clare with comfort stops along the way.  Arriving in Adelaide at approx. 5.30 where your car will be waiting to take you home. (B)
